Accomplishments

My mom told me it was rude to brag about yourself but we are so proud of our accomplishments that we just had to share our good news with you! JNA Construction was awarded two CotY (Contractor of the Year) Awards this year by the Austin Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI): 2011 Best Kitchen under $40K and 2011 Best Interior Specialty. In 2010, we were awarded the Best of Tour and in 2005 we were awarded The General Contractor of the Year award. As you can see, we aren’t your average remodeling contractor. We pride ourselves on doing exceptional quality work.  We understand that each home is as unique as its owners. Everything we do is completely customized to the needs of the family living in the home.

Call us to schedule a time to meet with us. You’ll be glad you did!!!

Surprises in remodeling

Hi!
Monday we started a new project on St. Johns on a home that was constructed in 1955. I know some of you will find this hard to believe but that house is even older than I am. :)

We are remodeling the kitchen, dining room and a bathroom. The demolition was done on Monday. The plumbing rough in was completed yesterday and today the electrical is being roughed in. Of course, as was to be expected in a house of this age, we found some rotten wood, no insulation in the walls and some framing members right where the old venthood was supposed to have been vented out but wasn’t. It’s always interesting to see what you are going to find that you completely didn’t expect when you open up walls. Oh, we also found a hole behind the mirror in the bathroom where a medicine cabinet used to be and two holes behind the paneling where the old in-wall heaters were.

So, if you are considering a remodel, just remember the day of demolition surprises are bound to be uncovered.

You can see pictures of this remodel on our Facebook page.
